En el marco de su labor en el extranjero, la Fundación Suiza para la Cultura PRO HELVETIA organiza una exposición itinerante con obras actuales de artistas suizos del video. Con esta exposición, Pro Helvetia permite a los y las representantes del video-arte suizo mostrar sus obras en lugares donde les sería muy difícil hacerlo en otras circunstancias, y de esta manera fomenta el intercambio cultural entre Suiza y América Latina.
La Exposición de Escultura Medial fue concebida y realizada por la curadora Ursula Wittmer, por encargo de Pro Helvetia. Comprende once instalaciones de video, creadas desde el año 1993 por los artistas Ana Axpe, Heinrich Breiter, Chérif y Silvie Defraoui, Erik Dettwiler, Edith Flückiger, Franz Gratwohl, Hervé Graumann, Bettina Grossenbacher, Alexander Hahn, Eric Lanz y Chantal Michel. Algunas obras experimentan con las posibilidades técnicas, mientras otras exploran aspectos poéticos y lúdicos, o se inspiran en la performance.
Un catálogo de 11 obras en video (“Video-Sampler“) en DVD (Digital Video-Disk) realizadas por artistas suizos – entre ellos Sylvie Fleury, Edith Flückiger, Hervé Graumann, Stefan Halter y Franz Gratwohl, Eric Hattan, Daniela Keiser, Eric Lanz, Muda Mathis y Sus Zwick, Franziska Megert, Chantal Michel, Hannes Rickli – constituye otro componente fundamental de la exposición itinerante.

In the framework of his job abroad, the Switzerland Foundation for the culture PO HELVETIA organized an itinerant exhibition with the current pieces of work of the Swiss artist in the video. With this exhibition, Pro Helvetia permits the managers of the Swiss art video show their pieces of work in places where would be very difficult in other circumstances and it promotes the cultural exchange between Switzerland and Latin America.
The exhibition of the Medial Sculpture was made by the curator Ursula Wittmer and ordered by Pro Helvetia. It has 11 video installations created since 1993 by artists such as: Ana Axpe, Heinrich Breiter, Chérif y Silvie Defraoui, Erik Dettwiler, Edith Flückiger, Franz Gratwohl, Hervé Graumann, Bettinin the framewora Grossenbacher, Alexander Hahn, Eric Lanz and Chantal Michel. Some pieces of work experiment with the technical possibilities, while others explore poetic and ludic aspects or are inspired by the performance.
