VII PREMIO MAVI/MINERA ESCONDIDA ARTE JOVEN CONTEMPORÁNEO

Por séptimo año consecutivo se convocó a una nueva versión del concurso de Arte Joven, el cual busca detectar tendencias y apoyarlos en el medio profesional de las artes visuales chilenas.
La convocatoria 2012 recibió alrededor de 500 postulaciones, dentro de las cuales el jurado seleccionó 28 trabajos para ser exhibidos, donde destacan la presencia de diversas técnicas artísticas: instalaciones, pinturas, fotografías, esculturas, dibujos, entre otros.
El jurado estuvo integrado por la curadora de la colección MAVI, María Irene Alcalde; los artistas Cristian Salineros, Alejandro Quiroga y Alicia Villareal; y la directora de Kiosko Galería (Bolivia), Raquel Schwartz.
Primer Premio: Javier González, con su obra “Sobre la contradicción emocional que propicia el fenómeno del amor”

For the 7th consecutive year there was a call for the new version of the Young Art contest which looks for tendencies and supporting them in the professional media of the Chilean visual arts.
The call of 2012 received around 500 applications of which the judges chose 28 works to be exhibited and where diverse artistic techniques are present such as: installations, paintings, photographs, sculptures, drawings, among others.
The judges were comprised by the curator of MAVI collection, María Irene Alcalde; the artists Cristian Salineros, Alejandro Quiroga y Alicia Villareal; and the director of Kiosko Galería Gallery (Bolivia), Raquel Schwartz.
First Place Javier González, with his piece named “Sobre la contradicción emocional que propicia el fenómeno del amor.”/” “About the emotional contradiction that favors the phenomenon of love.”
