MAVI COLECCIÓN NÓMADE

El Museo MAVI cuenta con un patrimonio de alrededor de 1400 obras de artistas chilenos, desde las década del 60 hasta la fecha, convirtiendo al museo en un referente nacional en el ámbito contemporáneo.

Desde su apertura, MAVI ha exhibido su colección en innumerables espacios expositivos tanto en regiones como en Santiago y siguiendo con su política de inclusión que incluye la itinerancia de sus obras, se encuentra actualmente en el MALL PLAZA ALAMEDA, espacio cedido por la Corporacion Cultural de Estación Central, con la muestra COLECCION NÓMADE – ESTACIÓN CENTRAL.

Esta muestra incluye la obra de destacados artistas de nuestra colección tales como Oscar Gacitúa, Alejandro Quiroga, Pablo Domínguez, José Fernández, Oscar Barra, Raúl Sotomayor (Sotelo), Rodrigo Cabezas y Santiago Aranguiz entre otros.

El MAVI apuesta por la posibilidad de compartir su colección con nuevos públicos más allá de su edificio patrimonial de la calle Lastarria, mediante esta exposición que se inclina por presentar obras bidimensionales, que reflejen el espíritu inclusivo que anima al museo.

Por este motivo, se ha colocado al lado de cada obra una completa ficha explicativa, realizada por el Departamento de Educación MAVI, que ayuda a que el observador no familiarizado con el arte contemporáneo, obtenga pistas que lo preparen en la observación de esta muestra.

NOMADIC MAVI COLLECTION

The MAVI Museum has a cultural heritage of 1400 works by Chilean artists, from the 1960s to the present, making the museum a national reference in the contemporary world.

Since its opening, MAVI has exhibited its collection in several exhibition spaces both in and out of Santiago (In other districts) and maintaining its inclusion policy which includes the rotation of its artworks to different places, is currently in the MALL PLAZA ALAMEDA, a space ceded by the Cultural Corporation of Estación Central, with the NOMAD COLLECTION – ESTACIÓN CENTRAL.

This exhibition includes the work of outstanding artists such as Oscar Gacitúa, Alejandro Quiroga, Pablo Domínguez, José Fernández, Oscar Barra, Raúl Sotomayor (Sotelo), Rodrigo Cabezas and Santiago Aranguiz among others.

MAVI is committed to the possibility of sharing its collection with new audiences beyond its building at Lastarria Street, through this exhibition that is inclined to present two-dimensional works, reflecting the inclusive spirit that characterizes the museum.

For this reason, a complete explanatory sheet has been placed next to each artwork, made by the MAVI Education Department, which helps the observer unfamiliar with contemporary art, to obtain clues that prepare him in the observation of this exhibition.
